Schumann Resonance This Week
and Yesterday

Every hourly reading of the last 7 days: the ResonanceOne Activity Index, derived from the Tomsk station's Schumann Resonance spectrogram and combined with NOAA's Kp index and solar flare data. Days run in UTC.

Kp is NOAA's estimated planetary K index, the highest of the day's hourly readings (5 or more is a geomagnetic storm). Flare is the strongest solar X-ray class in our hourly NOAA readings that day: A and B are background levels, C is common, M and X are the strong ones.

Reading the Week

What the numbers mean

The Activity Index is a 0–100 composite: 70% Schumann Resonance signal strength from the Tomsk spectrogram, 25% the Kp geomagnetic index and 5% solar flare activity. Up to 25 is calm, up to 50 moderate, up to 75 active, above that very active.

A daily rhythm is normal. The Schumann Resonance is excited by lightning, and thunderstorms peak in the local afternoon over the tropical continents (Africa, the Americas, Southeast Asia), so most days show a rise and fall rather than a flat line. A high stretch means more signal power. It never means the 7.83 Hz frequency itself jumped.

Hollow points mark held hours: a storm over the Tomsk station saturated the sensor, so the last clean Schumann value was kept instead of a false spike. Why whiteouts are not global events
